Totem Lodge Remembered
Andrea Lurski, junior at The College of New Jersey, has completed a course project Totem Lodge: A Delicate History. Andrea, an elementary ed. major has created a six page website on the history of the Totem Lodge that was a popular Burden Lake resort from the 1920s to the 1950s. The site includes many old photos of the resort as well as an interview with Brian Hampson, the current golf pro at the Burden Lake Country Club. Check out the website at www.oldtotemlodge.weebly.com.
Phase 1 of the Town of Sand Lake i-phone app Sand Lake: Then and Now, will be ready for use in September. Thirty old photos of the Town of Sand Lake will appear on this free download for your smartphone. The site will include a map with locations you can click on. You will then see how that location looked in the past. Text will be added to give more history and new photos will also be added. Residents are asked to get involved by sharing old photos. Contact Bob Moore, Town Historian if you have questions or photos to share. 674-2026 Ext. 20
